REVIEW: The Liberation Tour: Mary J Blige, Melanie Fiona & D'Angelo

It was opened by some chic named Starshell?? I missed most of her performance so I don't have much to say about her....She is some protege of Mary's apparently. Next!

Okay so: I loved loved loved Melanie Fiona. She was hot like fiyah!!! I already liked her already but after this I really like her. Her voice is amazing and powerful. Her stage presence is captivating. She really captured me during her performance and held my attention the entire time from beginning to end. I would have liked for her to perform a couple songs from her previous CD though. Here is a snippet one of my favorite perfomances of hers where she did "Fool for You"


D'Angelo ummm. He was decent. He performed WAY TOO MANY new songs that no one even knows. He should have sticked to more of his classics and I would have enjoyed him way more. I've never seen D'Angelo in concert before and never knew he was so Princelike. I like Prince doing Prince, anybody else just seems too copy cattish to me. I know others loved him like my fellow blogger http://www.ichoosethesun.com/. Sorry girl. :-) But here he is performing "How Does it Feel". I would have preferred him half naked like the video but, that's just me. LOL



Last but definitely and most certainly not least was The Queen of Hip Hop Soul herself Mary J. Blige. This chic commanded that damn stage like a champion. Her voice was CD Quality. I was on my feet the minute she stepped on stage. ALL HAIL TO THE QUEEN!!!! I love Mary J Blige even more now that I ever did before. That chic hip hopped and boobity bopped her ass across that stage in true hood fashion. She was dancing all her old school dances too. You know the ones..the ones only Mary is famous for. Yeah those! LOL Those hip hop gangsta ass two steps. GET IT MARY! Here's a lil taste of it with her Singing Be Happy!

Side Note: Mary also introduced her new singing group called Just'Us. The lead singer sounds just like Coko of SWV. O_o They sung really well though. She let them peform some of hit song "Mary Jane". It was nice.

If you haven't seen Mary J. Blige in concert...make plans to do it NOW! She is well worth the money.

Watch this Video: It had me in tears. This is such a wonderful inspirational story about Gabrielle Douglas. I love it. Sacrifice and Hard Work pays off in the end. I really hope this inspires children. It's a phenomenal story of what it takes to be a Champion.

LeToya Luckett performing "Regret"

I posted this as a Draft and never finished it until now. I ran across this video on YouTube and just had to share it. It's of her performing a song called Regret, not sure who's CD it's on but I love it. LeToya Luckett is underated Well hell so are most of the women who came from Destiny's Child. Most are very talented (Not just Beyonce) But Beyonce is the bomb.com now don't get me wrong but this is a video of LeToya on stage performing with Tank and she commanded that stage. I love her performance and the way she strutted her skinny behind across that stage. Singing "you must regret the day that you left me". Enjoy!!!

Oh, if you don't have her CD, go get it. It is a classic and i listen to it all the time. A #1 Album to me.

A Review: Pure Gioia

Some of you already know I am on a quest to find a replacement for what used to be the Best Bath & Body Company out there and in my quest, I will do a review for each place just to let you know my thoughts and if I ever do find a actual replacement for them.

This company is called Pure Gioia, it means Pure Joy. She created this company because a company where she used to purchase her Bath & Body products from went out of business so she started her own. The scents, each and every one of them that i purchased, I love. She has a 10 piece sampler that I ordered where you can get various different scents and a Lip Balm. The Lip Balm feels good on my lips and it smells good to and since my lips are below my nose I continue to get a "whiff" of the scent every now and then.

I ordered the following scents:

Sea Spray - it smells to fresh and so clean. Love.
Tropical Banana and Pineapple - a nice spring and summer scent.
Mango Peach Fusion - I fell in love with this scent. My Lip Balm was in this scent as well.
Pink Can of Pop - Smells just like the name.
Summer Sun & Sand - very nice summer scent as well. Light.
Pink Powdered Baby - This one smelled okay, not one of my faves though.
Lilac & Lilies - Surprisingly I really liked this one, Love.
Sunny Island Nectar - Also a nice spring/summer scent.
Strawberry Cake Batter - I'm a huge fan of all things strawberry scented so this was a winner.

My Top 3 are Sea Spray, Mango Peach Fusion and Lilac and Lilies.

These were all Whipped Body Butters so I'm not sure about how long the scent lasts but the scents are spot on, each and every one. She has Moisturizing Body Mist Sprays but I haven't tried them yet. The whipped body butter is very silky and moisturizing. Not greasy at all and of course smells good.

The delivery was super fast, Packaging was done nicely. I will definitely order from here again.
