Hottest Plus Size Dresses

For my fellow Plus Sized Sistas out there, IGIGI is one of the Hottest Websites out there for Plus Size Dresses. I love, love, love their dresses. I own about 5 of em now and they don't come cheap. I try to catch a tid bit of a sale but most times my size is gone and all that's left are the smaller sizes. I love each and every dress I have purchased from them. I recently purchase a pair of leggings from them as well and they are also nice but my faves are the Dresses. They have so many different designs to choose from and always fit me like a glove. I know my size and I can always tell when a "Plus-Size" company isn't true to size once I try their clothes on. IGIGI was also Voted Best Plus Designer for 2011.

I hate companies who say they are Plus Sized but really aren't. (Forever 21) I can't fit my nostril into anything they sell. All I buy from Forever 21 are accessories, accessories, accessories.

I want this dress from IGIGI so bad but NOT in purple. It's $175.00 and worth every penny.

Either Red or Black would be awesome but I just can't afford it right now. :-(

I'm even contemplating getting my Wedding Dress from IGIGI for my Vow Renewal in October.

I rarely listen to the radio but this morning on my way to work I decide to turn on WPGC 95.5 and lo and behold comes a song called Who Booty is it? Now while I was listening to it and bopping to it. 1st Post of 2013

Hello Everyone,

It's been about 3 months since I've posted anything at all on my Blog. Talk about being a slacker!
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram has had my attention and I was just too lazy to post stuff here but I hope to do better now. HOPE is the key word. Can't make any promises but I'll try to do better.

2013 has started off quite lovely. I've started to take control of my life and eat better, move more and stop stressing out about things I can't control. A lot is going on in my life right now, good and bad but I will prevail never the less. Hope all is well with all of you.

Just wanted to stop by and say Hi.Didn't really have a lot to talk about. Let's see....

Scandal is one of my all time favorite dramas on TV since like forever. This show gets me all excited and giddy and happy and everything. I was screaming at the TV last night watching Fitz wake up after being shot in the head. Him and Olivia Pope's love affair just makes my heart flutter. I know it's wrong but it feels so right.

Since I've started to eat better I can feel a change in my body. I know I've lost inches and I feel smaller and cuter. LOL I'm drinking nothing but water. #WATERWASTED And I'm trying to do this Fitness Challenge with some Ladies that I'm in a group with. #BLMGETFIT We'll see how this goes. I'm #winning this time. No Doubt! Cause I'm not giving up. I will keep going and going and going until I get this excess weight off of me.

Another Chapter in my Natural Hair Journey

For those of you who know a little bit about me, you know I've been trying to be Natural for a while now. I am 100% Natural now but being able to actually wear my natural hair has been a challenge. I usually keep weaves or wigs on and just braid or twist my hair underneath. Although I love doing that because it helps me to add variety to my hairstyles, I have really gotten tired of wearing wigs and weaves every single day. My scalp needs to breathe, My hair wants some air. LOL

So a fellow blogger who will remain nameless right now told me about her hairdresser that is downtown. I've been meaning to go to him for months but kept putting it off. Well finally I went last night and I can say that I was impressed. I have found my new hairdresser...POINT.BLANK.PERIOD. He is so knowledgeable about hair. He taught me so many things, I never knew. I had split ends and some damage to my hair (which i didn't even know) I'm thinking natural equals healthy but he was like no, honey. He told me how a lot of natural girls are walking around with damaged hair and don't even know it. SMH! I am one of em but he did say my damage wasn't that bad and of course he will help me to fix it. I'm wearing my hair out today but its humid so I need a A/C unit attached to my forehead to keep my hair from swelling up.

Below is a picture of three things. The first picture to the left is my hair this morning, clearly you can tell it has swollen since being straightened but nothing I can do right now to stop that. The 2nd picture to right is a picture he took of my damaged ends BEFORE he cut them all off. He had already cut some of it though. The last picture bottom right is my hair in the car yesterday after I got my hair done still a bit straight but becoming a poofy. Once my hair gets trained and I continue to wrap it every night. It will lay alot better. I can't wait.

Anyway, he told me to wrap my hair every night. Something I have no clue how to do. He told me to watch YouTube Videos and learn. He said it was my homework. I've watched a few this morning and so far these are 2 of my favorites.





Wish me luck on this new journey, I will keep you updated on the progress of my hair. I haven't actually taken a bunch of pictures of my hair like that because it's been so hot and humid, my hair stayed perfectly straight for all of one hour, if that. I don't want to put a picture of that up because that is not a representation of how my hair looked when he finished. I should have taken one right when he was done. DUH! Didn't think about that but I will next time. I go back next week so you'll see it soon.

REVIEW: The Liberation Tour: Mary J Blige, Melanie Fiona & D'Angelo

It was opened by some chic named Starshell?? I missed most of her performance so I don't have much to say about her....She is some protege of Mary's apparently. Next!

Okay so: I loved loved loved Melanie Fiona. She was hot like fiyah!!! I already liked her already but after this I really like her. Her voice is amazing and powerful. Her stage presence is captivating. She really captured me during her performance and held my attention the entire time from beginning to end. I would have liked for her to perform a couple songs from her previous CD though. Here is a snippet one of my favorite perfomances of hers where she did "Fool for You"


D'Angelo ummm. He was decent. He performed WAY TOO MANY new songs that no one even knows. He should have sticked to more of his classics and I would have enjoyed him way more. I've never seen D'Angelo in concert before and never knew he was so Princelike. I like Prince doing Prince, anybody else just seems too copy cattish to me. I know others loved him like my fellow blogger http://www.ichoosethesun.com/. Sorry girl. :-) But here he is performing "How Does it Feel". I would have preferred him half naked like the video but, that's just me. LOL



Last but definitely and most certainly not least was The Queen of Hip Hop Soul herself Mary J. Blige. This chic commanded that damn stage like a champion. Her voice was CD Quality. I was on my feet the minute she stepped on stage. ALL HAIL TO THE QUEEN!!!! I love Mary J Blige even more now that I ever did before. That chic hip hopped and boobity bopped her ass across that stage in true hood fashion. She was dancing all her old school dances too. You know the ones..the ones only Mary is famous for. Yeah those! LOL Those hip hop gangsta ass two steps. GET IT MARY! Here's a lil taste of it with her Singing Be Happy!

Side Note: Mary also introduced her new singing group called Just'Us. The lead singer sounds just like Coko of SWV. O_o They sung really well though. She let them peform some of hit song "Mary Jane". It was nice.
